Anyone else receive a notification that their Access to Azure Active Directory subscription had been cancelled?

I received an email indicating our Azure Active Directory Access subscription had been cancelled:

Save your data before it’s deleted

We’re sorry to see you go. Since you cancelled your subscription, we’ve disabled your services. If you have data stored in this subscription, we’ll keep it safe before permanently deleting it on August 7, 2024. Please log in and save any important data you may have stored in this subscription before then.

At first, I suspected spam, but the sender email address is valid, and the Subscription ID is provided in the email, and is accurate.

I did not cancel our subscription. When I try to access logs, it errs out, indicating:

DisallowedOperation: The current subscription type is not permitted to perform operations on any provider namespace. Please use a different subscription.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Thank you.

    Hi DocFixem,

None from my end but it's quite odd that you cannot access the logs to see who cancelled the subscription.Hope the documentation can help but better call Microsoft also.

I do remember something about Azure AD going away though and being replaced by Microsoft Entra ID, I wonder if that means a paid subscription is no longer required.

What's odd though is that the email wasn't sent to my company email where we do have an MS AD subscription, it was sent to my personal Gmail account that is not tied to my work account at all.
