Hi @Shanmugam, Suresh,
Thank you for posting in this community.
1.Yes, cross-geo copy refers to geo-location.
This is a feature in SharePoint Online. Multi-Geo in SharePoint enables global businesses control the country or region where shared resources like SharePoint Team Sites, Office 365 Groups content (associated SharePoint Sites and Groups mailboxes) are stored at-rest.
In summary, cross-geo copy refers to the ability to copy or move files across different geographic locations within SharePoint Online, while ensuring compliance with data residency requirements.
2.In a cross-site copy or move operation:
- The total file size does not exceed 100GB, and the total file number does not exceed 30,000.
- For ordinary files, the size of each file does not exceed 15GB.
- For OneNote files, the size of each file should not exceed 2GB.
- When copying files across different geographical locations, the size of each file does not exceed 15GB.
Therefore, regardless of whether you are copying across geographical locations, in a move or copy operation, the total file size does not exceed 100GB, the size of each file does not exceed 15GB (except OneNote files), and the size of each OneNote file does not exceed 2GB.
