How to scale an app service using a reservation?

rather than scale my app service, i purchase a 3 year reservation for the savings.

How does one apply this service after purchase to an existing web app service?

Please note that once the reservation is purchased, it automatically applies to the matching resources in the reservation scope. Ensure that your existing App Service is configured with the exact specifications (service tier and instance size) that correspond to the reservation. For instance, if you purchased a reservation for a P1v2 instance in the East US region, your App Service should be configured to use a P1v2 in the East US region.
