Hello Bhanu Singh,
Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.
It is entirely feasible to run a primary domain controller on Windows Server 2019 and intend to deploy a backup/secondary domain controller on Windows Server 2022.
Windows Server 2022 as a domain controller has good backward compatibility with Windows Server 2019. They can work together seamlessly in a domain environment, synchronizing DNS, DFS (Distributed File System), AD (Active Directory) and Key components such as GPO (Group Policy Object).
Once configured, all changes to Active Directory are automatically replicated between the primary and secondary domain controllers, maintaining data consistency. Changes to all AD components such as DNS records, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), user accounts, security policies, Distributed File System (DFS) settings, etc. are automatically replicated across all domain controllers.
Please refer to the link: How to Install Additional Domain Controller Server 2022 - XpertsTec
I hope the information above is helpful.
Best Regards,
Yanhong Liu
