The Broser extension Editor Browser Extension is switching between Single factor to MFA causing alerts popping in monitoring tools due to authentication failure. Why so much connexion and why switching from single to mfa?

Do you use the extension in Edge browser? If you install the extension in Chrome browser and test, will it have the same issue? Do you use Microsoft Entra ID to sign in?
My organisation is having this issue too, started on Friday last week (10/05/24). Absolutely infuriating. As far as I can tell it affects the extension in both Chrome and Edge. We have the "Microsoft Single Sign On" extension force-installed on both browsers and yes we use Azure AD/Entra ID to sign in. Has something changed with the way the extension authenticates, in the last few days?

This has been going on for months. The sign-in logs are not usable so we disabled the Editor Browser Extension.

i have been seeing this in my tenant as well. my users do use chrome though. would love to know how to remedy this
All of our tenants do the same thing. The sign-in logs are overloaded with "Editor Browser Extension" logins. All users only use Windows 11/Edge. No other browsers are used. Is there any way to reduce this? It's September 8th and it's still a problem.
