Apparently your search criteria are incorrect

I am sure that I searched for the correct security groups with correct criteria but they are not visible via ADUC search. I am suspecting some parameters are missing for these 2 security groups which prevent AD search to find from the NTDS.I am able to search other groups via the default criteria. Only problem with these 2 security groups

Any idea on how to make these 2 groups searchable in AD?

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

I agree with @Marcin Policht 's answer, and I would like to add a few more points. There are several possible reasons:

If your AD environment is synchronized with other systems (such as Azure AD), there may be synchronization delays. Newly created objects may not immediately appear in search results until synchronization is completed. You can wait for a while and then search again.

Ensure that you have selected the correct search range when searching. Sometimes, the search scope may be limited to specific OUs or containers. If you have selected a different OU when creating a security group, you also need to ensure that you have selected the correct OU when searching.

Ensure that you have sufficient permissions to search and view these security groups. Usually, at least appropriate read permissions are required to search and view AD objects.

You can also try contacting your AD administrator for support

    Best regards,

    Jill Zhou
