Hello!

Through all of the installed games I have looked through so far, none of the ones I've installed through GOG and Epic Games appear when I use Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features to find them (They don't appear in Settings > Apps > Installed apps either).

Is there a way to make these games appear either in Control Panel or Settings? I ask because I like being able to uninstall programs through Windows UI when other programs fail to do so.

It's odd because I have games installed through Steam, EA, and Battle.net (Blizzard), and all of those games appear in both Control Panel and Settings, as far as I can tell. (Granted, no game installed through Xbox appears either, but that DRM has been odd with its file management before, so this doesn't quite surprise me. lol)

I also use Steam and can confirm those installations acts correctly and games appear in Settings \ Apps and in Control Panel.

It sounds like it is Epic Games client design then? As a side note, you can see file locations by clicking game's shortcut properties and see location there. Maybe with Epic games they go under user profile?

    Hello

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

For games installed through GOG and Epic Games, they may not appear in the control panel or settings because they may not be registered with the system as traditional installers. Instead, these games may be installed in their own folder and often include a separate uninstaller.

If you want to uninstall these games through Windows UI, you can try the following methods:

    1. Use the uninstaller that comes with the game: Find a file named "Uninstall.exe" or similar in the game installation directory and run it to uninstall the game. These files are usually located in the root directory or subfolders of the game's installation directory.
    2. Uninstall the game through GOG Galaxy or Epic Games Launcher: If you installed the game through GOG Galaxy or Epic Games Launcher, you could try to use the interface they provide to uninstall the game. These platforms often offer convenient uninstall options.
    3. Manuals uninstall: If the game client is unavailable or you prefer direct operation, you can manually find the game installation directory and delete related files. This is usually located in the "C:\Program Files" or "C:\Program Files (x86)" directory, although the exact location may vary depending on the game. But please note that this method may not delete the game's configuration files in the registry or user directory, and you may need to manually find and clean them.

I hope the information above is helpful.

    Best Regards,

    Yanhong Liu

I've noticed that games installed through GOG and Epic Games don't appear in Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features or Settings > Apps > Installed apps, unlike those from Steam, EA FC 24, and Battle.net. Is there a way to make these games appear in Control Panel or Settings? I prefer uninstalling programs through the Windows UI when other methods fail. It's strange because games from other platforms do show up correctly. Any advice on this would be appreciated. Thanks!
