Why is my event hub is triggering for no reason?

I started an event hub to transport data from iot hub to an azure function, and it worked, but now I came back to see that my event hub has received over 12000 signals. I checked the IoT hub and the Azure Function, and non of them had received nor delivered telemetry. I can't make it stop, why did something like this happened?

welcome to this moderated Azure community forum.
Can you share some statistics? How many message were sent by the devices (through the IoT hub? How many message were outputted to the Azure function? How many messages were received by the Azure Function?
Notice the IoT Hub counts 4KB chunks. So a 6KB message is counted as two chunks. Yes, the IoT Hub portal says 'messages' but that is a bit confusing...
Can you check the EventHub itself to see what kind of messages are passing through?
Using the Process data, Enable real-time insights from events gives you a nice view of the latest incoming messages, if available.

And this second one is the received requests from the event hub:
There is a big inconsistency, because i have even deleted the IoT hub and/or the devices and still is receiving data. I've cut the message routing and everything. I've even deleted all components and started them again. The device was connected only for a couple of minutes.

2024-05-13T22:51:38.7866667+00:00 @Sander van de Velde | MVP I re-builted the whole system, using the Microsoft documentation, but i can't find any sense to it. The only thing I noticed is that the event hub doesn't get stuck in this loop until I connect my first device and receive telemetry, then it gets stuck with the empty messages.

Sorry, I'm unfamiliar with this behavior of the EventHub.
Please create an Azure support ticket so that team can check the services in the background.
