I would like to check if there is a possibility to block based on device ID in WAF

we need to block the requests in waf based on the client device ID . How can we achieve it. And also is there any way to know the device ID of the user from waf logs

Can you elaborate what do you mean by a device ID?

Does your clients include any header like "device ID" that can differentiate if a request was raised from one device or another?

Is this something internal to you?

If your clients include this "device id" in RequestUri or RequestHeaders or RequestBody or RequestCookies, then you may use Custom rules to block the requests.

Here is a list of all the supported Match variables that are supported with App gateway WAF.
