How to deploy MS Teams bot service in intranet

I developed a Teams bot which can answer user's questions based on some private data which are protected by my company firewall, also I need deploy bot application in company intranet, not Azure cloud, since there are security requirement.

But when I configure Messaging endpoint url in Azure portal, we can't provide a internet/public url.

So for my requirement/case, how should I do to integrate MS Teams bot? there is no websocket mode to connect Teams api from our side?

Since you mentioned that you cannot deploy the bot application in the Azure cloud, you can integrate your Microsoft Teams bot by using a tunneling software like ngrok to establish a secure connection between your local environment and the internet. Ngrok allows you to expose your locally running bot application to the internet securely, even if it's behind a firewall.

Download and install ngrok .

Open a terminal and navigate to the directory where ngrok is installed.

Run the command ngrok http <port_number> to create an externally addressable URL for your locally running bot application. For example, ngrok http 3978 --host-header=localhost:3978.

Update Messaging Endpoint:

Update the messaging endpoint URL in the Azure portal for your bot resource to use the ngrok URL generated in the previous step.

Configure Ngrok Endpoint:

Since ngrok URLs change every time you restart ngrok, you may consider using a paid ngrok account to get fixed subdomains that you can point to your bot and the platform.

Prasad-MSFT, thanks for your reply. As I mentioned I deployed bot web application in company intranet which is not allow external access, like request from ngrok -> bot web service hosted in intranet which doesn't work since firewall will block it.

So I need a solution, like websocket, then we can create connection from bot web service hosted in company intranet to MS Teams, then also MS teams can communicate with bot web service via websocket.

Does MS teams bot support it?
