    @Abhishek Kumar Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum, Thank you for posting your query here!

    • May I know which version of OS are you using with SKU?
    • Is this a custom image?
    • Check the VM Guest patching configuration on the virtual machine to ensure that it is set up correctly. You can find more information on how to configure VM Guest patching at the following link
    • If the VM Guest patching configuration is set up correctly, you can try updating the VM agent on the virtual machine. To update the VM agent, you can follow the steps outlined in the following thread

    Automatic VM guest patching, on-demand patch assessment and on-demand patch installation are supported only on VMs created from images with the exact combination of publisher, offer and sku from the below supported OS images list. Custom images or any other publisher, offer, sku combinations aren't supported. More images are added periodically. Don't see your SKU in the list? Request support by filing out Image Support Request.

    Based on the error message: It means the update type needs to be set to -> Change it from Image default to Azure Orchestrated

    Example: Home -> Virtual Machine-> Updates-> Updates Setting->
