MS aithenicator is stuck in a loop not allowing me to log in after getting a new phone

Question

I recently got a new phone and when i tried to log into my account to check my email on outlook it kept prompting me to check with my ms authenticator app. The app then asked me to put in a code while i was on the app and given no place to put the code. I need to log into my account because i have online classes and need my email available.

if you did not authorize the new phone from the old phone, and did not setup alternate authentication, then you will need to contact your school admin, and have your login account reset. typically they will send you a new QR code (if you kept your old QR code it should work).
