How to grant a single SSRS User access to multiple folders

Is there any way to grant a SSRS login the same level of access to multiple folders in one shot instead of going through each and any Folder that has "custom" security or in other words not inherited from parent "Home"?

In new SSRS 2017/2019 I would have to go to each Folder->Manage->Security->Add user for all these "Custom" security level folders which is insane considering I have ~500+ these kind of folders in one SSRS Reporting Server (beside the ~200 inherited from home which work fine) and few users(3-5) to add to each. I thought would be easier to create AD role(s) for all these users but I was told it was not feasible for whatever reason but even then I would still have to go through each and any folder to add the role instead of the 10 or so users.

It would be great if there was some Security option/feature at user level to select the SSRS role(s) then select ALL the folders to which that particular user would get "Browser" role lets say instead of having to do this hundreds of times per user for each folder apart.

    Hi @Nenea Nelu

I thought would be easier to create AD role(s) for all these users but I was told it was not feasible for whatever reason

This may be the easiest way to add user to AD group and then give the permission to the group in SSRS.
