Currently we have a client that utilizes Sharepoint in an organization, and they want to know how to get the direct static url of an image in their sharepoint to be used in an markdown text editor in our web app, that will be eventually sent out via email to the receipients.

Currently if we just set the file to 'anyone can access' and can view permissions to the file, then share link, and use that url link to our markdown editor, the image appears broken/not loaded.

The content above will be used in the email to be sent to their clients. Now how can we get a static URL of an image from sharepoint to be used publicly?

    Hi @Rhon Dy Tioco,

Thank you for posting in this community.

Share links to files in SharePoint cannot be used in other applications. This is designed by SharePoint.

SharePoint takes the protection and security of files very seriously. A share link in SharePoint even if it is set to anyone, it can only be opened within SharePoint or on a web page and can't be used to be used in other apps. SharePoint is not sure if the app you are going to use is secure or not.

So, I suggest you download the image before using it in your markdown file.
