Hi @Rita B. Vital,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum!
To change your legal name on your Microsoft certification profile, follow these steps:
Access Your Certification Profile:
- In the certification profile, select the **“Edit profile”** button to activate editing.
- Make changes in the available fields (except for the legal name) and select the **“Submit”** button to save your changes.
**Request a Legal Name Change:**
- Sign in to your certification profile.
- Select the **“Edit profile”** button, then click the **“Request change”** link next to your legal name.
- Provide the name from your identification (Latin characters only) that you want to change to.
- Submit the request for approval.
- You’ll receive an email with your support request number, and within 24 business hours (Monday-Friday), you’ll receive a second email confirming if your request has been approved or if additional validation is needed.
- [Note that changes may take up to 72 hours to reflect across systems](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/certifications/manage-certification-profile)[1](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/certifications/manage-certification-profile).
Remember to allow sufficient time for the changes to be recognized by the testing center before your preferred exam date2. If you encounter any issues, you can also post a certification support request through the Microsoft Certification Dashboard3.
Best regards,
