I used Cloud Shell before w/o problem. Today, my Cloud Shell is blank, no cursor, no response when typing text. There is no header bar for me to select the shell (PowerShell / Bash).

I checked the internet for solution, and tried such things as using different browsers and checked for service Azure service outage but these could not help.

Please advise what further steps to take to fix.

Thanks and best regards.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

If you encounter a blank screen and cannot enter commands in Azure Cloud Shell, there may be several reasons for this issue. Here are some common troubleshooting steps:

    1. Refresh the page: Sometimes, simply refreshing the browser page can solve the problem. Press Ctrl + F5 or Cmd + Shift + R to force a full refresh.
    2. Check browser compatibility: Make sure you are using a supported browser. Azure Cloud Shell works best with the latest versions of Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Apple Safari. Please note that Safari in private mode is not supported.
    3. Clear your browser cache: Cached data in your browser can sometimes cause problems with Cloud Shell. Clear your browser cache and cookies and try accessing Cloud Shell again.
    4. Check Azure service health: Sometimes, Azure services may experience service outages or issues. Check the Azure Service Health dashboard to see if there are any ongoing issues affecting Cloud Shell.
    5. Session timeout: Cloud Shell sessions time out after 20 minutes of inactivity. If your session is inactive, it may have been closed. Try opening a new session.
