Hi

I am going through the AI training with Microsoft Learn:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/modules/fundamentals-machine-learning/9-azure-machine-learning

The exercise asks me to create an Azure Machine Learning resource.

I tried and now it asks me for a credit card.

Can anyone confirm this is the only way to create a resource?

If so I'll quit the training.

    Hi Andre,

The exercise requires an Azure subscription, which can be Azure Free Trial account. A credit card is required to sign up for free trial account, but you won't be charged if you don't later upgrade it to Pay-As-You-Go account.

    Hi Andre Thompson,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Q&A forum.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused. The services utilized in Azure operate on a pay-as-you-go basis. Microsoft provides a free trial account as well.

    In additional to TP answer,

I recommend creating a personal Azure account.

The Azure free account offers complimentary access to various Azure products for a duration of 12 months. Additionally, you will receive a $200 credit for the initial 30 days after sign-up, along with access to over 40 services that are available always free of charge.

You can sign up for Azure Free Trial subscription here: Azure free account

There is also Azure Free for Students: Azure for Students
