Hello, you need to write to IT support to University, they need to click re-register information, so that you could add again to new MS authenticator app your University account
How to login without Microsoft Authenticator
I have two different Office accounts, one provided by my company and another provided by my university, of course both of them have different e-mails and different domains.
Last year I started using my company-provided mandatory cellphone, which has built-in Microsoft Authenticator without cloud backup. As a security measure I added the account from my university, so each time I needed to log in Office at home I just needed to use the phone, select the appropriate account in Authenticator and provide the code. However, my phone got broken last month and had to be replaced, so that I have now an Authenticator with only my company's account, which means that I cannot access the account provided by my university. In fact, the problem is twofold:
- When I try to log into Office at home with my university's account, it tells me to provide the code in Authenticator (which I don't have because that account is missing). There is an "I cannot access Microsoft Authenticator at this moment" but it only sends a different code to Authenticator, so it really solves nothing.
- When I try to set the second account in Authenticator I get the same problem: it tells me to check the code and, when I tell it I don't have Authenticator, it sends a second code to that very same app.
So the questions are, how can I set up a second Authenticator account? and How can I access my Office account?
Thank you very much
