Hello,

We are currently considering migrating from on-premises Exchange to Office 365. Given that we already have Office licenses, we're weighing the decision between the Basic and Premium plans. While the Business Premium plan offers a broad range of security features, many of which are appealing, they're not strictly necessary for us.

The reason we're leaning towards Business Premium is for endpoint protection. So, we're contemplating two options:

Option 1: Office 365 Basic + SentinelOne

Option 2: Office 365 business Premium

With Option 2, the decision to opt for Office 365 Business Premium hinge on its endpoint protection capabilities. SentinelOne offers an MDR solution for organizations with over 200 endpoints, but we only have 80, the solution of MDR can't be adopted. So a followup on the product is required, analyze the alert if they are real threats and soon. Even if it's good product it still requires a constant monitoring by IT.

Therefore, we're seeking a solution that reduces IT's security workload. Therefore, we have the following questions:

  1. Does Microsoft offer Managed Detection and Response for endpoints?
  2. Once endpoint protection is configured to our company's requirements and aligned with best practices, does it still require constant monitoring, control, and follow-up by the IT manager? Or is it more of an "install and forget" scenario, with the majority of the management handled by Microsoft?

Thanks!
