Audio from WASAPI Capture client is choppy with Express scribe transcription application

I'm working on an application that records audio from the device using the WASAPI capture client.This application records audio and stores raw data in PCM format. My application accurately records every audio that I play in the media player or from any other source. However, when I try to capture the audio that's playing from the Express Scribe transcribing software, it sounds incredibly choppy. This behaviour is observed in all windows OS.

Another thing I've observed is that when I try to play audio from the Express Scribe transcription software when the media player is running in the background, it doesn't get choppy. Not sure what media player does here.

I tried to increase the priority for the thread that captures the audio in my application. However, it was unsuccessful.

Whether is it only when you capture the audio that's playing from the Express Scribe transcribing software that it will sound very choppy? Whether have you tried other transcribing software and could reproduce the issue?

Not only the audio captured by the Express Scribe transcription program is choppy, but it also distorts the captured audio from other sources.

For instance: When I capture the audio from some other source it will be properly captured, afterthat when I play from express scribe application, the audio captured will be choppy. Now when I play from other source, the audio captured from that will also become choppy.

Also I tried with other transcribing applications, it works properly.

According to your description, as far as I'm concerned, it is related to Express Scribe transcription program. It is a three-party software. And it is out of the Winapi Forum support scope. I suggest you could post the issue to Express Scribe Support for better help.
