    To find if any VMs are using unmanaged disks you can go to the Azure VM (classic) page in the portal. VMs with unmanaged disks will have Uses managed disks set to No.

    You also might have unattached unmanaged disks, note these will be stored as a VHD in a storage account. If you want to locate these you can utilize PowerShell to list/delete them. First, run the script by setting the deleteUnattachedVHDs variable to $false****. This action lets you find and view all the unattached unmanaged VHDs.

    Migrate your Azure unmanaged disks by September 30, 2025 before they retire. See this page for more information about the retirement and method for migration.
