My customer just migrated most of the environment running in Azure. We have bunch of Red Hat Linux servers will be migrated to Azure VMs. We are going to protect our Windows and Linux Environment using Microsoft Defender. However, there were issues reported by RedHat that Defender on Linux causing major performance issues. Have MS done any analysis such as what kind of performance issues. I feel that it has blown out of proportion.

Any Guidance will be apprecited whether to run Defender on RHEL or alternative EDR tool? I like to provide some Low Level details since Customer was looking to implement Defender for the Whole Environment.

Best,
