Hello, @LoLyou5555 dejsjao ! We received your feedback and want to make sure that your question has been answered. From your description, it sounds like your request wasn't able to be fulfilled automatically so you will need to wait for a support engineer to respond to the support request that you opened. You may need to wait a bit longer depending on queue volumes but the support engineer working on your ticket will be able to address the issues you are running into.
How do I increase spot vCPU quotas? Why hasn't my quota been increased yet?
First, it is important to remember that Azure Spot Virtual Machines are discounted rates for virtual machines that aren't in use. When the virtual machines are needed again, Azure reclaims the VM with 30 second notice. This is perfect for workloads that can handle interruptions like batch processing jobs, dev/test environments, and large compute workloads, but it also requires that there are unused virtual machines. If you select a popular VM SKU (like a GPU VM) in a popular region, then it's unlikely that there will be spot instances available.
- Requesting an increase: It's important to make sure that an increase was requested for spot vCPU family quotas rather than standard vCPU family quotas. You can increase by entering a new limit or adjust the usage %.
- Waiting for the request to be approved: Your request will be reviewed, and you'll be notified if the request can be fulfilled. This usually happens within a few minutes but in a case like yours where the request isn't fulfilled, you'll see a link where you can open a support request so that a support engineer can assist you with the increase. It sounds like you currently waiting for the next available representative.
I hope this has been helpful! Your feedback is important so please take a moment to accept answers.
