Hello,

I'm competing in the Microsoft Azure Cosmos DB Developer Cloud Skills Challenge, and I need to request the OpenAI service for Azure.

The form for permissions require a work email, however I do not represent a company and only have a personal gmail. How should I proceed?

Thank you.

    Hi Jon Barker,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Access to the Azure OpenAI service is still restricted and not available for all subscriptions. Users must meet specific criteria outlined in this form, and access will be granted upon review of the submitted details.

To obtain an Azure subscription with access to the Azure OpenAI service, you need to complete and submit the form.

If your request does not meet the acceptance criteria, you can alternatively use the OpenAI public API.

Please note that Azure for Students and free trial subscriptions no longer support Azure OpenAI.

Additionally, your subscription should be a pay-as-you-go account to ensure successful deployments of Azure OpenAI once your request is approved. More information is available here and here
