I am working on removing the DP from the primary site and move the content to a new dedicated DP. I was wondering if creating a group and then removing the PS would be the best way to do that? or is there a better way to do that?

You can configure the new dp as a pull dp and have it pull the content from a source dp. You can also pre-stage the content to speed up the process.

    Hi, @Belgian Malinois

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

    Like Rahul mentioned,

    Method 1, Use pre-staged content:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/core/plan-design/hierarchy/manage-network-bandwidth#BKMK_PrestagingContent

This basically allows you to export the content from the old DP and import it on the new DP.

    Method 2,

Make the new DP a Pull-DP and set the old DP as the upstream DP. Assign the content to the new DP and it will be copied from the old DP.
