SSMS Issue for Local Connection

Hi,

We are facing an issue with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. We are unable to connect with local server.

We tried to reinstall the application, but it will run only till the system gets restarted. Once the system gets restarted, we are facing the issue again. We tried to re-run the instances but it is also getting an error.

The errors that we are facing are

Cannot connect to server\SQLEXPRESS in the SQL Server Management Studio.

The request failed for the service did not respond in the SQL Server Configuration Manager.

So if I understand this correctly, your SQL Server instance does not start. In that case, it is not very strange that you cannot connect with from SSMS.

But it could help if you could clarify. You say that you tried reinstall the application. Exactly what did you reinstall? Does this installation include SQL Server?

It sound like you are trying to start SQL Server from the SQL Server Configuration Manager. Then you attempt this, is there a new errorlog created in the folder? C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQLnn.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\LOG? (nn is a placeholder for a number that depends on your version of SQL Server.)
