when client is in sleep state, does the client can renew ip address from dhcp server?

hi, we had 2 windows dhcp server configured cluster failover, and set ip lease time to 8h.

when the client is in sleep state after work, will the client can renew ip address from dhcp server during the night ? thank you

    When a client is in a sleep state, it typically does not renew its IP address from the DHCP server. The DHCP lease time is the duration for which a network device can use an IP address in a network. During normal operation, the client will try to renew the lease halfway through the lease time to keep the same IP address. However, if the client is in a sleep state, it is not actively communicating on the network, and therefore, it would not attempt to renew the lease.
