Hello,

I am currently using GPT-3.5-Turbo-0613(16K) which is scheduled to be retired "no earlier than August 1, 2024".

I am considering upgrading to GPT-3.5-Turbo-0125, however the PAY-AS-YOU-GO options is not available right now. Will it be available before retirement of GPT-3.5-Turbo-0613(16K)?

If not, any recommendation to which model I should upgrade? (considering cost and performance)

Note that, GPT-3.5-Turbo-0125 is currently available in Japan East, but ONLY for PTUs usage.

Best regards,

Kono

    Hi @河野 プーンサープ,

Thank you for your question regarding the retirement of the GPT-3.5-Turbo-0613(16K) model and the availability of the GPT-3.5-Turbo-0125 model for PAY-AS-YOU-GO usage.

As of now, there is no official announcement from Microsoft regarding the GPT-3.5-Turbo-0125 model as PAY-AS-YOU-GO option for Japan east.

However, you can keep an eye on the Azure OpenAI Service release notes for updates on What's new in Azure OpenAI Service and Azure OpenAI Service models page will be updated accordingly with more details.

Based on your specific requirements, it is difficult to recommend a specific model for you to upgrade to. However, you may want to evaluate the different models available based on their capabilities, pricing, and availability in your desired regions.

GPT-3.5-Turbo-0125 is currently available in Japan East, but ONLY for PTUs usage. The PTU can only be contacted and purchased through the Microsoft sales/account team, as mentioned in Azure document. "If you don't have a sales/account team, unfortunately at this time, you cannot purchase provisioned throughput."

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you any further queries.
