Hello,

I am keerthi Amulya, a college student who subscribed azure for one month free trail but I was charged 68$ to use the VM, It was completely unintentional and i dont know how to get a refund of that. I tried to create a support request but my subscription has been suspended and even after the payment when I tried to reactive my subscription I still unable to do it.

I used the VM to work on my assignments but all of my class didn't get the charges except me, please help me to get the refund.

Is there any email id that could explain my situation?

Thanks in advance

    Hello, @Keerthi Amulya Madireddy !

Why was I charged? How do I contact billing support?

It sounds like a couple of things happened here:

    • Azure free trial: Azure free trial subscriptions are never charged unless you decide to move to pay-as-you-go pricing. If you use up your $200 credit or are at the end of your first 30 days, you'll be asked if you want to move to pay-as-you-go pricing. Otherwise, you'll be limited to free services and your account and services will eventually be disabled.
    • Suspended account: Your account will be suspended if there is a violation of the Azure terms of service (check your email, as you will usually receive an email with additional information). The only way to reverse this to create a support request that will be reviewed by the Azure security team. You can do this either online or through the portal by searching for Help + support and clicking on Create a support request (Issue type: Subscription management / Problem type: Re-enable my subscription).
    • Disputing charges: All Azure subscriptions are able to create a billing support ticket where you can work with the Azure billing team to resolve any billing disputes.

I hope this has been helpful! Your feedback is important so please take a moment to accept answers.
