Intune personalization wallpaper policy question

Hi

Looking at the Intune Personalization policy to deploy wallpaper.

So from this policy:

Device Configuration Profiles - Device restrictions - Personalization

Desktop background picture URL (Desktop only) - http:\xxxx.xxxx.xxxxx

And the file is put into the blob.

Now, going forward, what i want to do is to simplify the wallpaper deployment process further, by simply just updating the file in the BLOB whenever the image needs to be changed and not having to touch the policy at all.

Is this possible with this setup?

Is the device smart enough that whenever the policy gets synched, it checks if the file has been changed? Same filename, but different content.

Thanks.

    With this solution you can control desktop / wallpaper version and push new wallpaper with different name and new reg value.

    Original solution where img0.jpg is replaced in Windows will not update the wallpaper.

    @David Moon,Thanks for posting in Q&A.

    For your issue, the short answer is yes.

    Based on my research, when you store the wallpaper in Azure BLOB storage account and create a wallpaper policy for device, next time you want to change the wallpaper, you just to change the wallpaper in the Azure BOLB storage account.

    Please note that when you replace files with new you must keep the same file names.

    Set Desktop And Lock Screen Wallpaper Using Intune (cloudinfra.net)

    Non-official, just for reference.

    Hope this can help you.
