Refresh of Exported SharePoint list keeps failing

Question

I have a report set up in Excel that is linked to a SharePoint list and it worked fine for weeks. But recently when I now click Refresh All, I get a message saying 'a connection to the SharePoint sire cannot be established. To synchronise or refresh your table, you must be able to connect to the SharePoint site'. But I still have access to the site, and no permissions or anything has been changed in either the site or the excel so I dont know why this is happening?

Hi @Ruth Elliott (IE)

It is a common error message, there is more than 1 factor causing this error.

Please click "Get Data" > Data Source Settings > Data sources in current workbook > Edit Permissions > Delete > OK > OK.

Then back to Data source settings > Edit Permissions > Microsoft account > Sin in your account and save it. Click refresh all for a test.
