Hi,
I am using SQL SSRS 2019 Express Edition, the report menu shows some strange icons, for example instead of the "Next Page" arrow I get the letter "D"...please see the attached screenshot.

I am using Windows Server 2019 fully updated (English United States) with default IE browser

    Hi @netasp
Will such an issue appear when you open other pages with IE?
Can you try to open this page with Google or other browsers? Check if there are similar issues.
    Regards,
    Joy

the issue seems related to IE as I mentioned before, but it started to show when I was having issues with the date format displayed by SSRS (MM/dd/yyyy) and I wanted to display as DD/MM/YYYY. Someone suggested that I change the default IE language to English UK, and sure enough it fixed the date format issue but then it started to show funny symbols as showing above.

I reverted back to the default English US and even I did reset the browser to its default but still doesn't like it. It seems something did not get reset properly

    Hi @netasp ,
There are no related settings in ssrs. I am also not sure where the problem is with IE. Chrome is no problem changing languages. I recommend using New Edge as a browser.
    Best Regards,
    Joy
