when attempting to do an install for any Windows 11 Insider build it hangs when searching for disks.

The drive it is installing to has raid 10

when attempting the install , I Shift-10 to drop to dos

and run diskpart and it sees the drive with no issues and the partition is healthy

I can take a Production 23H2 Iso and install with no issues

any ideas

Insider builds might not have the necessary drivers for your specific RAID controller. Make sure you have the latest drivers from your motherboard manufacturer or RAID controller card provider downloaded and ready to install during setup. You can usually load these drivers using the "Load Driver" option when prompted during the installation process.

Temporarily try disabling the RAID controller in your system's BIOS. This will present the individual disks to the installer, allowing it to potentially bypass the RAID configuration issue.

Since Insider builds are for testing and development, they might have bugs or compatibility issues with specific hardware configurations like RAID. Consider installing a stable released version of Windows 11 (like 23H2).

    Hello,

Here are few things you can try:

1、If RAID mode is enabled in BIOS, you could try switching to AHCI mode. Windows 11 supports RAID but sometimes this setting could lead to problems. Make sure Secure Boot is enabled. Ensure drivers are correctly installed:

2、During installation, you might need to load RAID drivers to correctly recognize your drive.

Check with your hardware manufacturer to see if you require specific drivers when installing new OS builds.

3、Windows 11 requires a system reserved partition of size 100 MB. Make sure this exists and has enough space. Ensure partitions are GPT, not MBR type as Windows 11 requires GPT to install.

4、Windows 11 has strict system requirements including TPM 2.0 and at least 64GB of storage. Ensure your system meets these requirements.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
