How can my admin resolve an Azure server connection error the presents itself only when connected to my LAN via wired Ethernet?
I access a remote database from home by connecting to a VPN.
Initially I could connect to the VPN and the database in question when accessing the internet via Wi-Fi or a wired Ethernet connection. As I understand it the database allows connections from our office, whereas remote connections require VPN.
Now I can still connect to the VPN on either connection type however when connected by Ethernet and trying to access the database via Excel or Microsoft SSMS I get data source errors like 'Cannot open server... use Azure Management Portal to create a firewall rule for this IP address".
What can I review, or advise my admin to help regain access when using a wired internet connection at home?
