Clearing cache in Excel 365 files to reduce file size.

I have worked for many years with excel, creating a great deal of tools but I am always frustrated, when making changes to the data or formulas, that the size of the file increases exponentially, and I realized that it is probably the cache that supports the "undo" options, but I am wondering if that cache gets dumped or is there a way to clear it, to reduce the size of the file?

    @Malcolm and Maribel Boswell ,
    Generally, some caches related to Excel files are saved independently.

    As far as know, if you want to reduce the Excel file size, we may do it via remove conditional formatting, crop each worksheet to its used range, clear data formatting, do not save the pivot table source data cache with the file and etc.

    The detailed information, please refer to "Reduce the file size of your Excel spreadsheets".
