OOBE takes too long time

I can deploy Windows 11 to the new computers and the applications are installed after OSD. But I want to make a bit of improvement. It takes more than ten minutes to complete the OOBE setup for the first login. Can I skip these OOBE steps or reduce the time?

By OOBE steps, do you mean that you need to select anything there first to continue, or does it just load too long? You suppose not to have any selections there, it should go completely silently.

But if loading too long, I would first compare different models, or with/without driver packages. Maybe you have added too much drivers or wrong drivers inside driver package? There are many variables in this, like Windows version and patch level inside wim and ConfMgr build version, ADK boot image version. Is everything up-to-date?

    Hi,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft MECM Q&A forum.

We can use unattend.xml file or task sequence to skip/customize OOBE process. For more information, please refer to:

SCCM Customize Windows Out of Box Experience OOBE Using ConfigMgr

USE UNATTEND.XML TO SKIP WINDOWS 10 OOBE DURING AN SCCM TASK SEQUENCE

USE UNATTEND.XML TO FIX WINDOWS 10 SCCM IMAGE STUCK ON “JUST A MOMENT…” SCREEN

Hope it helps. Thanks for your time.

    Best regards,

    Simon
