How can I remove an account on a previous device which wasn't backed up?

Hello!

I recently got a new phone, and didn't know I needed to have a backup turned on to transfer my authenticator info to the new phone. I believe I now have two codes for facebook set up, as the old one was never removed and I was directed by Microsoft support to set it up again on my new phone.

When I try to log in to Facebook for example, I get prompted to check Authenticator, and there's nothing there, because it's going to the old account. Facebook is unable to do anything to change my authenticator, and has been incredibly unhelpful in my numerous attempts, directing me to Microsoft support.

Can someone PLEASE help, there has to be a solution to this that doesn't involve creating a brand new facebook account and losing all my data, work connections etc. I need to be able to access Meta for my job, and if I lose access to my account and can't get in via the authenticator I'm in trouble.

TIA!!
