Can't Sign Up For OpenAI

Greg Fox 0 Reputation points

I just finished the Azure AI Fundamentals certification, but I had to wing it for any questions dealing with OpenAI.

I would like to move on to another AI certification, however, I am concerned that not being able to sign up for OpenAI will make it difficult.

How is an individual supposed to participate, when you are required to work for a pre-approved company or school in order to access the Azure OpenAI Service?

@Greg Fox Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum, Thank you for posting your query here!

If you need an Azure subscription with access enabled for the Azure OpenAI service, you need to fill and submit this form.

I understand your concern. Azure OpenAI service is still not open for personal email accounts (Example: @[], @[], @[], etc.)  as the users need to fall under the criteria as defined in this form and the request will be approved after reviewing all details submitted in the form.

If your access request to Azure OpenAI service doesn't match the acceptance criteria, you can use OpenAI public API instead.

Hope this helps. If you have any follow-up questions, please let me know. I would be happy to help.

Signing up for Azure OpenAI Service with a personal email account (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo) is not currently possible. Access is restricted to individuals affiliated with pre-approved companies, schools, or organizations that meet specific criteria.

If your work or studies fall under the criteria, you can fill out the form provided by navba-MSF Approval is based on the information submitted.

While OpenAI access might be restricted, your Azure AI Fundamentals certification provides a solid foundation for exploring other AI certifications.ny state of health
