Good morning,

for a few days now my computer has stopped recognising my digital certificate, when I select the option to identify myself by means of a digital certificate on the different web pages the dialogue box to select it does not appear, and it gives me an error.

I have tried cleaning the search history, I have checked that the certificate is in the browser, I have tried with another windows user, I have even requested a new certificate in case that was the problem, the certificate appears con google too, etc. I think I've done almost everything I can.

The certificate is brand new, so there shouldn't be any problem with it.

Is there any solution?

You may try a different browser.

Open Edge and go to Settings.

Click on Privacy, search, and services.

Scroll down to Security and click on Manage certificates.

Ensure your certificate is listed under the personal tab. If not, import it using the Import button.

Even though the certificate is new, verify that it is valid and has not been revoked. You can do this by checking the certificate details in the browser’s certificate manager.

    Hello Edu Albaladejo,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your digital certificate.

Based on the information you've provided, it seems like the issue might be related to your browser settings or configuration. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check if the certificate is installed correctly: Go to the Windows Certificate Manager and check if the certificate is installed correctly. You can do this by typing "certmgr.msc" in the Run dialog box and pressing Enter. Look for the certificate in the Personal folder.
    2. Check your browser settings: Make sure that your browser is configured to use the correct certificate. You can do this by going to the browser settings and looking for the certificate settings. Make sure that the correct certificate is selected.
    3. Clear your browser cache: Clear your browser cache and cookies and try again. Sometimes, cached data can cause issues with certificates.
    4. Try a different browser: If the issue persists, try using a different browser to see if the issue is specific to your current browser.

If none of these steps work, please confirm:

when I select the option to identify myself by means of a digital certificate on the different web pages the dialogue box to select it does not appear, and it gives me an error.
What dialogue box you selected does not appear?
What error message did you receive?

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Daisy Zhou
