Excel office

Question

I am super confused I signed up for Microsoft office and trying to access the excel and it will not let me. It says I need a product key number. I just need to access word and excel but I am unable to. Please help!

Please give a screenshot to tell the version of Office.

It would be better to have a screenshot of the detailed error message.

If you use Microsoft 365, Office 2019, retail version of Office 2016(like Office Professional 2016), or retail version of Office 2013(like Office Professional 2013), generally, we need to redeem a new purchase firstly with product key.
After finishing the redemption process, you could use your Microsoft account to sign in to account.microsoft.com and install your Office product.
