Wrong and non-existent user logged in Microsoft Teams Organization prevents logout

Hello,

I'm currently facing an issue regarding Microsoft Teams where an employee has - somehow - logged in into an organization with a wrong username / mail adress.

When I try to leave the organization via Teams Tab it still requires a successful login, which is not possible because the tenant doesn't even exist in our Entra ID nor the company itself.

Things I tried so far:

Clear MS Teams Cache

Remove and add the employee from the organization group

Logout and Login in MS Teams

Revoke all sessions

Revoke MFA authentication

So far Microsoft forces the employee to always use its wrong mail adress to complete the login - whether I enter the correct mail adress or click on cancel.
It looks like the organization itself contains the wrong login credentials for the tenant, but I'm not able to remove it anyway.

Nothing seems to work so far which leaves the employee unable to access the teams organization.

Is there any way to completely remove him from the organization and/or force a complete new login with entering his actual and correct information?

Thanks in advance

    Hi @R H

    Could you please tell me:

    • Have you added another account in the Teams client and used the correct identity to log in to the Teams client? 图形用户界面, 文本, 应用程序, 聊天或短信描述已自动生成
    • Have you tried to use the Teams web client to verify whether the problem still exists?
    • Do you get any error code message when you try to log out of Teams?

Based on the case description you provided, it is recommended that you use the Windows registry key to turn off the pre-population of UPN, refer to this.
