In the authenticator app it gives the option of scanning qr code but doesn’t allow me to access screenshots

    Then I guess the app don't have permissions to access the camera; you have to grant and how depends which phone & OS & OS version you use; you haven't mentioned that.

    Contact the phone manufacturer support.
