Renaming Andoid devices on intune

Hello, i am enrolling Android devices into intune, through installing company portal and signing in with email address, the android enrollment type is Device administrator, but the device name is not the preffered name on intune, i have changed the device name on the device and also from company portal yet i see the device name from intune as "email address and enrolled date" . is there anyway i can rename the device?

From your description, I know you want to rename your android device.

Based on my research, Device administrator enrollment method is not in the support list of renaming devices in Intune portal.

If you change device name on the device, it will not sync the changed device name with Intune, or if you change device name through company portal, it just shows the changed display name on company portal but still not sync with Intune.

So, it is suggested that you unenroll the device and try to re-enroll using Android Enterprise which support rename device.
