Identifying the source VNet for the charges on a peering connection

In the Cost management , I select Resource group, and Service Tier (Virtual Network) filters to see the cost breakdown.

In the breakdown I see "Intra-Region Ingress" line item. The VNet I'm interested in has peering connections with other Vnets from the same region. How do I know the cost breakdown further on which peering connection is costing what amount within the total Ingress charge?

    Hi Oruganti, Sudhamayi,

We appreciate your engagement with us on the Microsoft Q&A forum.

To get a detailed breakdown of the costs for each peering connection within the total "Intra-Region Ingress" charge, follow these steps:

    1. Go to the Azure portal and select Cost Management + Billing from the left-hand menu.
    2. Choose the subscription that includes your VNet.
    3. In the cost analysis section, click on "Accumulated Costs," then go to the "Smart View" section and select "Services." Choose the services for which you want to get the cost data.
    4. In the Cost Management + Billing section, you can download the usage details in CSV format. This report will show detailed usage data, helping you identify the exact cost for each peering connection.
