Hello, a friend of mine tried to make a desktop animation on his desktop and tried to used the 0x052C message to create a worker w window, which is behind the desktop items. The target was to make a custom, reactive animated background, which still let's you use the regular icons on the desktop. We also looked up multiple solutions on the internet, but all solutions we found used the same message. Also we looked up MS Spy++, and the 0x052C message didn't change anything. We are aware that there is no such documentation for 0x052C, and as this is the internal message used to animate the change of a background picture, which windows 11 doesn't have, we think it could have been removed. Is there anybody who either knows a solution to this problem or knows if it has been removed? Thank you so much for your answer, I'll appreciate it.

    Hello

It seems this feature is no longer available for windows 11.

"We’ve turned off the animation when switching Desktops using the keyboard shortcuts as it was leading to flashes and hangs."
