Hello

Please i need your help on this issue.

A new staff will be taking over an existing user account. Is there a way for a user to permanently delete their entire Teams 1:1 chat history? We want the new staff to have access to all emails and groups but not the 1:1 chats in Teams.

    Hi @Iniobong Nkanga

it is recommended that you use a retention policy to delete the content.

    1. Sign in to the Microsoft Purview compliance portal > Solutions > Data lifecycle management > Microsoft 365 > Retention Policies.
    2. Select New retention policy to start the Create retention policy configuration, and name your new retention policy.User's imageUser's image
    3. Choose StaticTeams chats, specify the user you want to include.User's imageUser's image
    4. For Decide if you want to retain content, delete it, or both page, specify the configuration options for deleting content.User's image
    5. Complete the configuration and save your settings.User's image
