    Hi,

What is the Start search menu? Could you provide a screenshot about the menu.

Did the file located in SharePoint folder or local folder?

Please be a bit more precise to explain your problem or you can upload a screenshot so that I can get more accurate solutions to this problem. I’m glad to help and follow up your reply.

    Hi @Anthony Garcia ,

I tested it in my environment and it did not reproduce your problem. The file can be opened in the Office client. Let's do some troubleshooting:

1, From a SharePoint perspective, the file can be opened from the browser, there is nothing wrong with the file itself, and there is nothing wrong with the account permissions. Make sure the Windows, SharePoint, and Office client accounts are the same.

2, Please try left clicking on another office file to see if the same error is reported.

3, Remove the file from the start list and try it again to see if the error still occurs.

4, See if the same error occurs when you open the file directly from SharePoint using the office client.

5, Repair office client and try again.

6, If the problem still exists, it is likely to be the cause of Windows. As a SharePoint engineer, who is not good at Windows. It is recommended that you add the relevant tag so that the thread can be seen by Windows experts. I would also suggest you try reset default apps to see if the problem persists.

    Have a nice day! :-)
