If you can share some snip on your scenario because it's working on our end.
You can try this solution also;
- Close and re-open SSMS and connect to your instance.
- Re-install your SSMS if possible.

On SQL Management studio, I used to be able to filter in Object Explorer the database list by highlighting databases and select the filter icon. This icon is now grayed out??
Any ideas.
