Creating new Azure CDN

I'm having an issue with my new Azure account. Whenever I try to create a CDN or Front Door service, I always get the following error. I have tried using different resource groups in different regions but I'm still encountering the same problem. What should I do?

Using azure cli does not help either.

az afd profile create --profile-name profile --sku Standard_AzureFrontDoor --resource-group group-cdn

Exception of type 'Microsoft.Azure.Cdn.Platform.Web.Types.ApiException' was thrown. (Code: BadRequest)

Is this issue reproducible across browsers?

Do you have Owner or Contributor or Network Contributor access at the subscription level?

You informed you used Azure CLI, was it Cloudshell or local CLI (from your PC) ?

Meanwhile, I shall check if there are any related issues internally.

Hello, Sharing my information because I have the same issue and am looking for a solution.

I got the same error using the CLI provided on the web and in the Azure portal.

I checked this internally and it appears the exception "Microsoft.Azure.Cdn.Platform.Web.Types.ApiException." is thrown for various reasons.

As next steps, I would suggest you to raise a Support Incident with Azure Support where a support engineer can have a screen share session to pinpoint the issue.

Since so many different users across different Azure tenancies are facing this issue, it must be an issue in the service and not specific to tenancy/account. It will be great if you can escalate it to dev team. That will save time for lot of users.

I understand and I did have a conversation with the Product Group Team.

The error message in question is a generic one, meaning various reasons could result in this message.

And hence, the diagnosis requires further debugging where we would require your subscription details and tenant information.

So, I would suggest you to reach out to Azure Support to get this issue resolved.
