I am not receiving a code from Microsoft Authenticator to login to the Authenticator app and many more websites

Whenever adding my email to the Microsoft authentication app it ask for a code from the Microsoft Authenticator which never shows up. When choosing the request to be approved through the app where numbers are supposed to be displayed there is never any.
